This is part 5 in a series of Notion pages I wrote as part of introducing crewing to the Commons in SF.

So you want to join a crew! Crewing is a new program here at the Commons, with iteration, we’re hoping will become a staple of the Commons experience.
Agreements
The primary intention of crewing is to form connection/friendships
Each crew will contain 3-6 members
You’ll probably meet for 1.5-2 hours (depending on what the crew caller shares)
You’ll meet weekly for N+1 weeks (eg 4 members = 5 meetings over 5 weeks) (probably same time same day each week)
You’ll meet at the Commons or a place of the crew caller’s choosing
You’ll be doing something called a case clinic each time, in which someone will share a problem/challenge they’re facing and get support (unless the crew caller specifies otherwise)
Starting from ~week of 5/31 (at the discretion of the crew caller)
A single round probably won’t results in your best friends for life (though it could!). The hope is that you’ll come away with some people that you like, connect with, share mutual support with, and can help enrich your time at the Commons
Please only sign up if you can attend every session (barring emergencies/important stuff coming up last minute)
How to Join
If all that sounds good to you, please sign up here: 🙌 Crews
There’s a limited number of crew callers so first come first serve. Sign up for a crew with a vibe that you like!
If you don’t find a crew that you like - start one! Reach out to Johnson. Otherwise, we intend for plenty more iterations of crewing, potentially every ~2 months, so you’ll have more chances.
